Mazda MX-5 (2005 - 2015) 2.0i 2d Roadster Coupe Owner Review

In their own words
I bought my Mx-5 roadster coupe when it was 7 years old with about 40k on the clock. I’ve owned it 7 years and added about 35k. It has been fantastic value for money. Servicing each year at Mazda costs around £250 and apart from one round of breaks it hasn’t needed anything else. It’s a pleasure to drive and has a great sporty feel even when driving relatively slowly. Perhaps a little thirsty, but not unexpectedly so - I get around 25-30mpg with mixed driving. Only issue i have had is with the grey paint on the roof panel, which has discoloured with a strange pattern - like sun damage. Apparently it’s a common problem with this colour and age. Would definitely buy again though and would recommend to anyone who can get away with only 2 seats. It’s not too impractical either - I can easily fit a cabin suitcase plus second bag and coats etc in the boot and we’ve used it for many long-weekend breaks etc. We have a family car, which we use for driving the kids, and have been able to get away with this as our 2nd. The only time it was difficult was when the other car needed to be taken in for a service when the kids were too young to leave with friends. If only I could get the new one!
