What does this car say about you?

We like open-top motoring in the summer, but appreciate the hard-top in the winter. We like a car to be well made, affordable and reliable, but to also look good!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They think it is great, though for many of it would simply be too impractical as an only car.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes - it is a great car and there would be no reason not to buy another, unless the lack of practicality became an issue (kids; pets etc).

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes, a very good deal, buying privately with cash from a lady who was keen to sell the car quickly and with minimum fuss.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

My wife and I wanted to own an electric hard top car, so that we could have the benefits of an open top car in the summer while having more of a coupe in the winter. The MX-5 was really the only (affordable) option!

What's it like to drive?

Great to drive. It is very sensitive and therefore 'twitchy' on less-than-smooth surfaces but this is to be expected from a sporty car. Steering is very quick and precise and it handles beautifully through the corners. Surprisingly comfortable on motorways too, though a little noisy.

What's it like to park?

Easy - it is so short!

Have you had any problems with the car?

No

What's most practical about your car?

It really isn't very practical at all, although the electric hard-top makes like very easy. Not using up the boot space when the top is own is very useful.
