Mazda MX-6 2.5 V6 GT 2d Auto (1997/P) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Hard to find a cheaper sporty car of this class. Poor residuals make this an excellent second-hand buy.
Costs
Thirsty engine if pushed hard. High insurance. Servicing not the cheapest either.

On the road
Driving
Excellent drive. Well balanced, takes turns well. Composed, but steering slightly soggy at speed.
Performance
Not the fastest or punchiest, but smooth power when needed. Definitely good enough for me!

Living with it
Reliability
Too early to tell for me. Have only owned it for a month. So far, so good!
Image
That's what I got this for. Everyone very impressed. Looks beautiful and a lot more expensive than it is.
Comfort
Comfortable, spacious interrior (for driver and front passenger - rear passengers squashed). Engine and road noise does intrude. Bumpy and rattly on poorly maintained roads (but then, that's not what this was built for anyway, was it?)

Security and Service
Security
Haven't been tested yet, thankfully. Deadlocks, immobiliser and alarm fitted so should be decent. To be honest, not really a target for joy-riders either if you think about it. It's not that kind of car.
Service
Polite and helpful. Not cheap though.
