What does this car say about you?

To your average person, that you have taste and like to be different. To your car expert, that you like a driver-focused car which handles brilliantly and are willing to sacrifice a little ride-comfort for pinpoint handling!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Everyone is impressed, mostly by the doors... until you get to about 6000rpm, and then the engine note takes the biscuit.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Definitely, has style, power, handling, practicality, only problem being the fuel consumption. Anyone complaining about fuel costs on here can only blame themselves for not doing their homework. After 2 minutes of searching online I knew what to expect.. a very thirsty car! Get used to it or don't buy it :) The same goes for power, anyone who has complained about lack of power is obviously trying to drive it like a standard piston engine. It has 9000 rpm to use! USE IT! Dropping down to 3rd from 5th to overtake is not a burden, it is part and parcel of driving a rotary-engined sports car, and if you dont enjoy that kind of thing, you really ought to be pottering around in an audi TT.

Who knows... I won't be divorcing the RX-8 any time soon!

Did you get a good deal and why?

Not a bad deal, traded in my 02 Ibiza for decent value seeing as i'd done 80,000 odd miles in it.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

What was the dealer like?

Very helpful and car was in perfect condition. Wasnt impressed with empty fuel tank and no tax though, had to fight to get price lowered for that!

What's it like to drive?

PZ version has exceptional handling, I bought this with a mind to taking it to track days and this car will not disappoint! Can be tricky on bumpy lanes due to the ultra stiff suspension, but this is the sacrifice you make for having racing-spec handling.

What's it like to park?

As easy to park as my old ibiza, anyone complaining about parking and the need for sensors obviously needs to learn to park. Of course there is always that fear of hurting those beautiful oz 18" alloys...

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing so far but only had it for a few months..

What's most practical about your car?

The suicide doors are a brilliant touch, makes a coupe that bit more practical, always a talking point too.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Bose stereo system is pretty decent, very useful controls mounted on steering wheel. Rev-limit beep is a nice touch too.
