Mazda Xedos 6 (1992 - 2000) 1.6i 4d Owner Review
In their own words
Okay, this is definitely not a luxury car alternative. It is nothing like a LEXUS 1S200, 3 series or C Class. It's not even X type territory.
That said the paintwork looks amazing for the age.
It is a small nippy, alternative to the mainstream rivals offered by Ford, Vauxhall, Renault but I imagine more reliable.
The handling is crisp, it is comfortable to drive and looks quite unique. It is the uniqueness that would win it over and did do for me when I was looking for a cheap and reliable runaround.
How reliable do you find the car?
Not had it long, but I get the impression it will be robust and I have confidence in it.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
I got this car cheap. I have a 2.2 1999 Camry which I actually really like because it is so rare and I like that slab sided U.S three box design. The handling and zingy engine surprised me with the Xedos. It has been noted that the Xedos was an alternative to a BMW 3 series or the like, however, it really isn't. The interior is nothing like a BMW of the same vintage. In fact I would co far as to say that while it seems well screwed together, the interior of a Vauxhall from the same era would be a nicer place to be in term sof layout, switchgear and design. The car is small, but there's plenty of big windows so it feels light and airy and the handling also feels precise and nippy. I really do like the little thing.About their car
