If you drive the CLE 53 expecting something like the crazy AMG models of the past, you’re going to be sorely disappointed. This isn’t a car that you need to tip-toe around, instead, it’s a car that’s designed for driving enjoyment rather than driving engagement.  

With the top down in Comfort mode, it’s a fantastic cruiser – but that AMG tech means it can be relatively engaging too. Not as engaging as a ‘traditional’ AMG, but enough to have fun.  

Click it to Sport or Sport+ find some nice roads and you’ll get an altogether different experience with the same machinery. The AMG CLE 53 coupe has always been a well-rounded package because of the above, and with the option of a soft-top, it’s arguably even more complete.
