Mercedes-AMG GT verdict
2024 onwards
(change model)

Should you buy one?
The standard GT 63 apes the Porsche 911’s practicality and refinement, but the GT 63 Pro brings back a dose of aggression. It’s sharper and more precise than the standard V8 – never mind the power bump – and certainly fun when pushed on trach. However, it does all that without compromising on the practicality most customers now want. After all, you can get this car with a sunroof and extra seats if you wish.
There are quicker supercars, and even AMG GTs – you only have to look at the 805hp hybrid and the inevitable, unhinged GT R Pro for that – but the Pro promises performance you won’t regret in normal road use. Of course, we’ll need to drive it off track and on UK roads to confirm that, though.
