Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I'm pretty old fashioned. Of course nowadays you can't really show off your star on an old beater like this, but back in the day... it was still something special.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
I don't remember the exact feedback, but the neighbors did like it! Especially my next-door Volkswagen enthusiast neighbor. The rest of the family (especially my son) loved it.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Sadly no, I like trying new cars.
What are you likely to buy next?
I already bought a Honda after this car, but hopefully soon I'll be going after a full-size German car, 7-Series preferably.

Didn't buy from a dealer

No

£3,000

June 1992
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes, plenty of car for the money!
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Finally wanted a Mercedes-Benz, I could afford a used S-Class, but they were too big, so I decided to buy a W123 since it is a class slightly below it.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Handling is excellent for a car of this age and size, quite fast as well considering mine was a 2.8.
What's it like to park?
Wasn't too hard for it's size.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Few electronics went wrong, such as the seats but it was typical of a German car of that age.
What's most practical about your car?
The fact that it was a Mercedes-Benz which delivered extreme comfort for the noisy kids and wife and also standing out in the crowd of Vectras and Mondeos!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Everything. :P.
