Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe (2011 - 2015) C180 BlueEFFICIENCY AMG Sport Edition 125 2d Auto Owner Review

In their own words
This vehicle is excellent, albeit a little thirsty. Having said that, most of my journeys are relatively short, i.e. not often more than 20 miles round trip. When I drove down through France and Spain to the Algarve, I was able to achieve in the 40s. It is very enjoyable to drive, with very positive steering and you can make the driving experience as sporty as you want. Having said that, I haven't yet found a way of 'softening' the ride, which is quite firm. However, the seats hug you and are very comfortable. The boot is ok and with the rear seats down is more than adequate for any long trips, unless you are taking your golf clubs, when it becomes a bit of a squeeze. However, I bought a Mercedes roof pod for the car and that was and excellent purchase. One final point to note; this model is not homologated for a tow bar, so if you have a golf buggy to tow, you'll need a second (or third) vehicle.
How reliable do you find the car?
After about 15 months, I noticed the paint finish on the boot was 'speckling'. I took it to my Mercedes dealer; the car was inspected and received a total respray FoC! Obviously, it was a recognised problem, because they gave me no explanation and never attempted to discuss me paying anything. The only other problem I've had was the failure of sensors controlling the ABS/Stop-Start/Cruise Control a couple of weeks ago. Replacing two sensors cost £311, which was a little unexpected. This is my fourth Mercedes, but the only one I've had a problem with. That said, I am still very happy with the car.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
I love the intelligent headlights, which point into the turn of a corner and also change between main beam and dip automatically if a car comes towards you, or if you start to catch up with a car ahead of you. I have also taken the car abroad and there is a facility in the menu that allows the driver to switch the headlight setting from LHS to RHS driving, which means no messing about trying to place those correction stickers.About their car
