Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe (2011 - 2015) C220 CDI Executive SE 2d Auto Owner Review

In their own words
Comfortable, well specced, enough power and torque and very reliable. Only issues in nearly 40,000 miles have been a leaking water pump and fuel filter housing which both are apparently common on these. Cost about £450 to get both changed together at a Merc specialist which isn't bad for repairs over that time and mileage, as the only real issues I've had. The engine still runs like new.
16" wheels on the executive SEs look awful but were easily swapped for a set of 18s off the AMG sport model, which can be picked up cheaply off Ebay. Although if you do change the wheels, its best to get the allignment done at the same time or the tyres wear badly on the edge, since getting an allignment, I've had no issues.
Its also advisable to get them serviced every 10k miles rather than the 15k interval and to switch the stop/start off as these both prolong the life of the timing chain and I've seen on forums that a few of the cars that have suffered issues are due to stop/start being regularly used in traffic.
My first Mercedes and after my experience with this one my next car will probably be a Mercedes as well. One of the best cars I've ever owned.
