Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate (2000 - 2007) C220 CDI Classic SE 5d Auto Owner Review

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
Excellent all round car for me and not looking forward to the day I have to get rid of it . Its well serviced so looking to get al least quarter of a million out of it . For a 2.2 engine it is good on fuel and has never missed a beat .i bought this car for £600 with one month mot so took a risk , but turned out it only needed a bulb and wiper blade , road tax is 280 a year but it less than one month payment on a new large estate car like insignia so it still a barging in my book .
How reliable do you find the car?
Not much has gone wrong with this car , injector seals (79p each) , new seals on fuel pump (£40 from merc for all seals and washers ). And usual wear and tear all cars have ie brakes etc . Just put it through a Mot with 184000 miles in the clock and nothing needed done just an advisory of slight corrosion on brakes pipes . Now this car does not have an easy life , away every other weekend mountain biking in summer and skiing in the winter . Also live on a farm which has a 1 mile pot holed muddy road to come up .Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
This car has totally changed what I think of Mercedes, love my car !! Great on the motorway , can pile the bikes on the roof and dog in the boot . In winter skis in the boot and head up the mountains . Word of advice tho, auto rear wheel drive can be fun in the snow or a real heart in the mouth experience. Get yourself a great set on winter tyres all round and be prepared to let some air out the back tyres in an emergency, put a electric pump in the boot to put the air back in .About their car
