    Did you get a good deal and why?

    Paid cash and with trade-in of damaged Ford Scorpio considered deal fair.

    Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

    Needed an estate, and found seat system good. Performance and road holding and general colour and styling.

    What was the dealer like?

    Small country dealer specialising in cared-for quality mid- mileage cars, who enjoys a good turnover. No pressure, and concerned to preserve a good reputation with a regular clientele.

    What's it like to drive?

    A joy. The 5 cylinder 2.7 litre returns good economy cruising on the motorway (50 mpg+) on a long run, with useful muscular smooth acceleration when called for. Firm suspension but accurate steering/good roadholding.

    What's it like to park?

    Generally easy - good lock with power steering and good visibility with mirrors. It is compact and smaller than many Estates.

    Have you had any problems with the car?

    Diesel injector pump had to be replaced, and multi-vee belt shredded for no apparent reason resulting in loss of power steering, alternator and cooling system.

    What's most practical about your car?

    Carrying capacity of Estate coupled with easy seat configuration to fold rear seats. Level access to load floor.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    Cruise control.
