Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate (2008 - 2014) C200 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY SE (2011) 5d Auto Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
What is there to say? Engine a bit gruff and noisy on acceleration, but cruising all is quiet. Very comfortable and far better in this respect to the old T202. We did Alicante to Paris in 13 hours at a rather indecent speed and still got 47 mpg, and have, from Norfolk to the Peak district seen 72 mpg. Tyres last 35,000, no oil consumption, but this year (7 yrs old) I regassed the aircon. The boot space is fine for two golf bags and trolleys and our luggage. In fact, it has been such a great workhorse that I had a chat with the dealership and was advised against the new model with the Renault engine - and research on line seems to point that this latest model is nowhere near as reliable. So, we've put the old one out to pasture as a daily hack and bought - another T204, 2014, and but 18,000 miles. The T202 did 350,000 before I sold it, and I have no qualms about either of our two. In fact, in 25 years and 600,000 miles of Mercedes motoring my total spend on repairs is one new aircon compressor, two injectors, and broken front springs, total cost £5,000. That is cheap by my book.
How reliable do you find the car?
I have not needed to do anything except to service it and change tyres. Not one problem at allAbout their car
