Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I have too much money to spend, although if anyone knew what I actually paid for it, they'd be pleasantly surprised.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it and think I'm a bit posh with the 3-pin star on the bonnet (as if).
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes I would, although would probably go for a larger engine next time (maybe a C220 or even an E-class)
What are you likely to buy next?
See above - poss C220, E220, E280, or may switch to a Beemer - who knows??

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£400
When did you buy the car?
September 2006
Did you get a good deal and why?
Oh yes. Cheap to clear
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I always wanted another Merc after having a 190E a few years ago and couldn't resist it at the price (who would?)
What was the dealer like?
-
Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Not bad at all - even better now that I have replaced 2 tyres. Not all that good uphill and doesn't always change down quick enough to keep the speed up. Cruises easily on the motorway or just around town.
What's it like to park?
Pretty good - visibility is good all round and the turning circle is excellent.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Central locking pump doesn't work (fixed with a second hand one), wiper motor only works on fast (suddenly fixed itself), heater on hot only, alarm disconnected. Apart from that, not bad considering what I paid for it.
What's most practical about your car?
The drive and there's enouh room for me and my kids to sit in comfort.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Auto window/sunroof closure upon locking, although that seems to have stopped working as well (now works since the c/locking pump was replaced). The rear headrests collapse at the touch of a button, which is quite funky & my son likes it too.
