Summary
What does this car say about you?
i wanted this car beacause i liked the idea of the quality and a little bit more presence than a ford oval that i have almost always owned
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
most like it. it needs some body work done but on a car this old with full service history i was more than happy to do some rust patches
Would you buy this car again and why?
definately. its such a joy to drive and so easy. i do a lot of milage to work and this car eats them without any road noise. word to the wise, i wanted to change the radio so disconnected the battery. didnt realise i didnt have a boot key ( must be seperate) electric locking on the merc. i couldnt get the boot open after shutting it back down (battery in boot)so had to call rescue out. there is a box in the engine bay tho that will power the locks if jumper cables placed to them.
What are you likely to buy next?
a newer merc.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
this isnt a car to rush. dont get me wrong put that foot to the floor and the engine roars enough to get you into or out of trouble. but its not a car you want to do that to, its a very nice car to make a long journey in as it purrs and you cant hear anything but the radio
What's it like to park?
amazingly good turning circle. them frint wheels really do tuck in on a turn. nice to park but again that gas pedal is very touchy

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
excellent to drive. lovely smooth auto box. the gas pedal is a bit touchy. you gotta be light footed to get a slow start off it as it wants to go.
What's most practical about your car?
its solid build quality. i got some rust on the arches but thats due to merc using water based paints in the 90s, so they rust now. easy fix tho. good on fuel for a 2 litre as long as you dont boot it. its the feeling of quality i like
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
like the boot release from the fob as it rises itself lol. fave thing about it is the overall feeling of quality and that 3 pointed star on the bonnet
