Summary
What does this car say about you?
I've reached an age where I want a bit of luxury and appreciate quality. Others might think I'm a bit of a sad snob who's having a mid-life crisis....
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Too big for the wife to drive and insurance too high for my boy racer son who'll have to stick to his Saxo VTR. My 2 daughters like it although they won't drive it either as it's too big and the insurance would be hefty.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. The seats are too hard by far and not very comfortable. OK if you like them like that but my old Avensis was more comfortable by a mile.I'm already getting a bit fed up with the old gas guzzling as well although at 27mpg average I shouldn't complain considering it's a 2400cc auto! Finally it's got some rust! Come on Mercedes, surely you can do better than that for a car that cost £30000 new!! Galvanise them!!!
What are you likely to buy next?
Something cheap and cheerful. I'm getting more and more like a mean grumpy old git who deeply objects to being ripped off by the Chancellor.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Superbly quiet and refined 6 cylinder engine. Gearbox smooth as they come. Steering perfectly weighted. Excellent turning circle for a big car.
What's it like to park?
Not bad. Visibility pretty good but a big car all the same.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Yes. MAF sensor replaced before I bought as part of deal. Then major flooding in passenger footwell due to blocked drain. This blew the heater motor which I had to replace.
What's most practical about your car?
Size and smooth, effortless power delivery.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Cruise control. What a great toy.
