Summary
What does this car say about you?
I'm an old reliable classic....with more than a few surprises. I'm going out on a limb here, but once people get in it, they are surprised. It shows I've thought about it.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They love it. They find it hard to believe it was so cheap, given the condition and build quality. My girlfriend has been sold on the idea now, that The old Mercs may look like a brick, but they are reliable, easy to drive, safe with a bit if fun if needed. Others just get in and after a few miles are fast asleep!
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would buy this car in an instant but only if it had a similar history. However lack of that would not stop me from buying it, the old Mercs seem to be well looked after.
What are you likely to buy next?
Classic Mercedes or later model...

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
I enjoy every moment I turn the key...I know that the car can make any journey fun (unusual for a Merc) that's because you can make it do the unexpected. Whether it's pulling away at the lights, B roads, motorway cruising or city driving. I just know it's not going to disappoint.
What's it like to park?
I have a narrow drive in a narrow street, and reverse parking is effortless. It's also easy to park in tight spots, although I should really add aftermarket parking sensors.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
With exception of a flat battery which was due to non use, Nothing has gone wrong with it from the day I bought it. Sailed through its mot with no advisories. It's a testament to its previous owner who cared for it.
What's most practical about your car?
It's an effortless drive, feels solid from the moment the door is shut, to the driving at any speed.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Love the leather seats, the cruise control, the aftermarket DAB unit I put in, but the accelerator kick down switch makes me smile every time.
