Sensible guy with low spec merc on cheap lease deal?

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

People seem to think you're doing OK if you drive this kind of car (even if it is a base model) - you need to be comfortable with that kind of image - personally I'd rather be a bit lower key...

Probably not, but it's nothing against the brand or car.

Yes they matched the best lease deal I could find and seemed keen to do business..

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Never had a merc and wanted to try one..

What was the dealer like?

Fine, no problems at all.

What's it like to drive?

Maybe a little underpowered - this is the smallest diesel in the range, but great roadholding and very much at home mile munching on the motorway - easily delivers 42mpg cruising

What's it like to park?

No problems - power folding door mirrors good in tight spaces and no matter how hard I try I can't damage the alloy wheels on kerbs!

Have you had any problems with the car?

A computer controlling the auto gearbox packed up stranding me twice, however the replacement car service was very good and the fault was fixed within a week. The car has suffered from excessive stone chipping and merc seem unwilling to do anything about it although other owners have told me this is a common fault. The seats are dreadful on long journeys and lack of lumbar support is an issue...

What's most practical about your car?

It is very well specced and the climate control works brilliantly.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Auto box is smooth and easy. The factory fit mobile kit is great.
