Mercedes-Benz C-Class Saloon C220 CDI Classic 4d (2001/51) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Considering it's the base model, Mercedes have included a lot more equipment as standard than they used to.

On the road
Driving
Not as fast as my Sabb 9-5 (superb car) but so solid - dare I say it, feels as solid as the Saab which I think is consistently underrated.
Performance
I have just driven nearly 100 miles at speeds below 60 mph. The MPG is showing as 61.4! Either the computer is faulty (unlikely as a Merc) or it is superbly economical when driven with care.

Living with it
Reliability
Too soon to tell as I have just got it, but no reason to doubt otherwise - after all, it has a 30-year back to home warranty!
Image
Mercedes - in black; it looks class from any angle.
Comfort
Very smooth, quiet and relaxing. Just a little more space needed, but still excellent - in short: if only I could have afforded the new E-Class!

Security and Service
Service
Absolutely superb - helped with my choice - nothing was too much trouble. Mercedes-Benz South Lakes were 100% - could not fault in any way.
