Summary
What does this car say about you?
I hope nothing very much, basically just a sensible midrange car with better than average residuals.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Universally like.
Would you buy this car again and why?
They've just brought out the revised model and having seen it I actually don't like it as much, so unless it grows on me probably not.
What are you likely to buy next?
Unsure.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£26,500
When did you buy the car?
December 2013
Did you get a good deal and why?
Based on the list price for a new car and what I paid for this one at 6 months I think I did.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I was looking at the C63 AMG and ended up getting sensible about the fuel bills and buying this.
What was the dealer like?
Very helpful and not pushy (MB Park Royal), I would definitely recommend them. First time I called in was a Sunday morning and I don't think I looked very like your average Merc buyer. Didn't throw them one bit, polite, courteous and interested.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
I started out looking at the C63 and I think it is funny I ended up buying a diesel but I am in no way short of performance. 0-60 in 6 secs, massively strong in every gear and spot on handling. I wouldn't swap by mpg for a marginal improvement in the driving experience anyway.
What's it like to park?
Doddle, parking sensors front and back and a reversing camera. You really don't need the latter.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Not so far. The wipers squeak which is annoying and wasn't fixed when it was serviced, but no other mechanical issues.
What's most practical about your car?
Everything, it's a very easy car to live with, does 40mpg even when you drive it hard and fits four in with lots of space.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Linguatronic. My last car had voice recognition for the Bluetooth but it really didn't work well enough to be anything other than annoying. The MB stuff works very well and you can control lots of stuff in the car with it.
