Mercedes-Benz C-Class Saloon (2014 - 2021) C 43 Premium 4Matic 9G-Tronic Plus auto 4d Owner Review

I was looking a sporty daily driver that would satisfy the 3 generations of my family but also me as a I driver. The choice narrowed on the saloon versions of the Audi S4 and Mercedes-AMG C43 and then went for the latter as it's "personality" fitted me better.

I wanted a pre-facelift 367 HP version - which is more than enough for a daily driver - and prefer its front end design with the diamond-pin front grille. I was also looking for 18" alloys so the confort level could match the performance.

I found and purchased the C43 bought as an MB approved used car an it puts a smile on my face everytime I start the engine and drive. It offers a fabulous combination of relaxed ride, wicked acceleration when needed, practicality and discreet elegance. The only key modifications have been adding a 35% tinting on the rear and back windows and upgrading the tires to Michelin Pilot Sport 5.

Twice a year I have the opportunity to drive on the German Autobahns where the car is literally at home and where I can make full and legal use of the torque and power. I will definitely keep this version of the C43 as long as possible... especially as I am not attracted by the 4 cylinder electrified, heavy and high priced current iterations of the C-Class AMGs.
