Summary
What does this car say about you?
It says I want a car that is well built and functional but, does not stand out from the rest. Instead it is elegant and sporty without wanting bragging rights. I can roll up to my boss in this car and not worried he'll immediately think "how much am i paying this kid". Saying that, when i had the previous style coupe, i felt good and my boss wanted one....had to watch my step after that.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Very pretty to look at. Love the lights and spacious interior. Dad (who works for Mercedes) is as dissapointed as me with the command system as it is slow and not intuitive as the previous model. 2 people agree the sound system is shocking.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. I could not stand the basic command system. It's like running the original Windows PC system and waiting all the time. Sound system is shocking beyond belief in my opinion.
What are you likely to buy next?
I liked the E-Class Cab and estate but will look at the E-Class coupe for next years. If I were to buy not a Mercedes, i would look towards an A3 2.0L TDI as a competitor as my previous A3 had an amazing Bose sound system for little extra and performance was better however ride is better in the New C class. E class Coupe next.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Awesome drive on windy roads with enough grip and little roll, whilst calm and smooth when shuffling your grandparents from A to B. New 50% aluminium chassis, Quicker off the line and more effortless. Handling improved and turn ins more precise. Steering great & precise with a good feel of the road and your grip levels on meandering roads. Motorways, not twitchy leaving me relaxed. The blind spot on the A pillar on the drivers side is larger than previous models. Rain displacement down the side windows leaves visibility impaired at junctions. Basic command is shockingly bad and slow. Cant control your phone through lingutronic anymore!! Sound system is better in a 53 plate Clio! Pringle lid speaker system is seriously disappointing and downgraded badly from previous model.
What's it like to park?
Easy. With all the self parking features you've got no excuses for not getting in a space. Admittedly it can be a little slow as it restricts your acceleration and does like to fart around a little when you're in the space, but it'll get you in (and out) no problem. Visibility all round is good and with the reversing camera, you have little to no excuse for taking your bumper out. However don't try and drive backwards just using it. I did almost crash on the second day of picking it up, against another car driving backwards only using the screen and stopped with a couple of mm of another car. That would have been embarrassing. Lesson learnt to look around as well.
