Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sports Coupe (2001 - 2008) C180K 3d Auto Owner Review

I bought this car with 16000 miles on the clock one service from Lexus garage. Mercedes very unhelpful with problem questions so never used them for service. Biggest problem is RUST on 02 models. As for the car I drive it to Italy each year No probs till this year when engine light came on half way up a mountain with 106,000 miles on the clock . Took it to Mercedes at Lake Como who did a check and said ok to drive home , but get it checked when I got home. Result... Timing chain stretched £1200 to get done. I know I have had it for 10 years and loved driving it , even though it has had 5 coil springs on the front . Never had it serviced just an oil change every 10,000 miles with Mobil oil and the usual wear and tear items . I recon that I would still have had the repairs so can't complain. Ride a bit too firm now I am 70 , but still like the car . One thing about Mercedes at Lake Como..... ..FANTASTIC. much better than the staff in UK
