What is miles per pound?
Fuel economy
A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test.
Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 19 - 29 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

The CLK cabriolet’s running costs are fairly similar to the E-Class. There is low depreciation, even on earlier cars, but the bills for maintenance and servicing might hit you a little hard. The equipment justifies the high prices, as the CLK cabriolet offers air conditioning, power steering, tinted glass and an automatic heating system as standard.
Loyal and ultra dependable, don’t expect too many problems under the bonnet, especially if the pricey Mercedes-Benz servicing is kept up. The CLK cabriolet impresses with an integrity that betters its rivals, boding well for many trouble free miles, but there is always a risk of the odd technical glitch or electrical deficiency that could flare up.
