Mercedes-Benz CLK Cabriolet (2003 - 2009) 280 Elegance 2d Tip Auto Owner Review

I have always loved Mercedes Benz, and always wanted to own one, my dream car was the SL, and I owned a 2000 280 SL for a number of years. I purchased my 280CLK in June 2016, I spent some time viewing a number of cars, I wanted a particular colour, plus all the toys, and I found it, a great price for a 11yr old car in excellent condition and full service history. I have driven to Spain and back twice and the car did me proud, good fuel consumption for long distance driving using cruise control, such a pleasure and so comfortable. The car handles extremely well on wet roads, I drove from Plymouth to London in December 2019 during a very windy and wet evening, at no time did I feel the car could not handle to road conditions. I would recommend the minimum 2.0 litre engine, the car is solid, so it's weighty, plus the sound of the engine is great as it purrs in traffic and roars on the open road. I replaced the original battery just over a year ago and only because the car was hardly being used due to me being away a lot. I have no need to consider replacing this car, the styling is sleek and sophisticated, all curves and no lines and still a head turner. If you want quality, look no further, very inexpensive to own, so keep what you would have spent on a newer car to help with running costs.
