Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe (2009 - 2017) E250 CDI AMG Sport 2d Tip Auto Owner Review

Bought in February 2018 with 9000 miles on the clock. It now has nearly 66,000 miles it. Its never let me down and i have it serviced by Mercedes every year. I have an 80 mile a day round trip. Its silky smooth on the motorway but i find the suspension can be a little firm on country roads. Power steering makes my car so easy to drive round town. Had engine remapped and get 36mpg to 52mpg all depending on my right foot. Average is 44mpg. Engine is responsive and pulls well from a standing start. Midrange response is also reasonable. The 7 speed auto gearbox suffers badly from autolag. It can take a couple of seconds to respond to your throttle demand especially exiting roundabouts. It looks good and drives well but does lack feedback to the driver. My biggest bug bare is the size of the doors. As a coupé the doors are much longer than on a saloon so you have to pick your parking space carefully otherwise you might find you're unable to get back into your car due to someone parking a bit close to you. Overall I give my car 4 out of 5. I do enjoy driving it.
