What does this car say about you?
That i know my cars and am prepared to sacrifice modern rubbish for old style class. Never had anything bad said about the car.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Love it. Huge interior, excellent spacial awareness for a 12 year old car, solid, incredible ride quality soaks up anything, very relaxing, a great talking point. Some think i'm mad for spending that much on a 12 year old car but once they see it and go out in it, they understand.
Would you buy this car again and why?
yes. it is wonderful. i never thought i'd find a car that i'd be happy keeping for 10+ years (and i'm only 33).
What are you likely to buy next?
nothing. why would i? This ones a keeper...

Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes. Bought from a Mercedes Specialist so slightly more expensive than usual riff-raff but worth it as i knew that it had been checked properly
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I wanted something with 7 seats, NOT an MPV, BIG, comfortable to drive, automatic, very good build quality, something to last 10 years without losing 95% of its value, relaxing to drive, plenty of room for my 3 boys, plus i really wanted a Merc
What was the dealer like?
Couldn't have been more helpful. A library of information about these cars, wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone else - w124.co.uk.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
like being sat on your favourite sofa whilst wafting along, very easy to drive, secure handling, safe BUT it is not quick, adequate performance.
What's it like to park?
very good turning circle but you need to get used to its size, can be a bit daunting.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
the fuel overfil lines aren't the correct ones so occasionally had a tiny bit of diesel spill, being fixed.
What's most practical about your car?
7 Seats and sheer size inside, loads of room.

The boot that sucks itself in once on the latch
