Last of the real Mercedes!

On the road
Driving
Very comfortable to drive, reflection of panel light in drivers door mirror is annoying though. Accelerator pedal is very heavy and can give ankle ache on long journeys.
Performance
Effortless driving - even with a caravan on the back. Make sure decent tyres are used though as cheaper brands with soft sidewalls will have a detrimental effect on handling.

Living with it
Reliability
So far, touch wood, excellent. Needs to have branded name bulbs fitted though else the bulb failure warning system is constantly on.
Comfort
Supremely comfortable front and rear seats - a 100 mile journey feels the same as a 1 mile journey.
-
Security and Service
Security
Ours cam with factory alarm but locks are not deadlocks as one would have expected in a luxury vehicle. Also a lack of internal hidden stowage - no glove box, just a lockable centre console.
Service
Need to shop around to get either a good dealer or go to a marque specialist.
