Summary
What does this car say about you?
Practical, adventurer.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They think the car is in good condition for age and looks more modern than it actually is.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would most certainly buy this car again given the price I paid, practicality and its lack of any issues to date.
What are you likely to buy next?
I would most likely be buying another Mercedes given the auto gearbox is one of the better I have experienced having driven a variety of other high end makes from the same era. (2000-2005).

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£400
When did you buy the car?
June 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
Car had two doors requiring replacement and was a trade in to clear. Therefore price of £400 was excellent considering doors can be picked up for circa £50 each on the internet.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Price, practicality.
What was the dealer like?
-
Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Car handles very well considering its size, very firm and stable on the road especially on the motorway where 70-80 feels more like 30-40 in smaller cars - even modern ones.
What's it like to park?
The vehicle is surprisingly easy to park given its large rear and side windows. I have had no issued navigating tight multi-storey car parks.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No problems have occurred in the 8,000 miles I have used the car for.
What's most practical about your car?
7 seater option is excellent for road trips, one of the reasons for buying a vehicle with 7 seats and more than adequate room.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Cruise control and speed limiter are excellent. The speed limiter is particularly useful in town driving to set a maximum speed the car will go to without continually maintaining a cruise speed.
