  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

I think it says to other people 'You're mature and old'. But I think it says to me "Very wise, you've picked the best car in the world for your job, no question"

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They all love it. Mr brother got one too.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Definitely. No other car is this practical, fast, economical, bullet-proof, and luxurious.

What are you likely to buy next?

A coffin. This will last me til I'm a hundred.

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £2,865

When did you buy the car?

    June 2010

Did you get a good deal and why?

It had FSH, ave miles for age, but came in about 2 grand under book. It'd been scratched and kicked by previous disgruntled company owner, so turning a blind eye til the respray happens meant money in my pocket!

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Needed a classy 7 seater that loved long trips, and had good economy, and the MPV we had didn't cut it anymore.

    What was the dealer like?

    Cool.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Awesome for a big car. Loads of power, and even hammering it, the inside front tire on bends pulls the car into the road, rather than washing out on you. No Idea how M-B did it, but I'm glad they have. And smooth riding? not lost a cake or a kid yet!

    What's it like to park?

easy. Clever mirrors, and all-seeing parking sensors (not the stick-on halfords ones that can't even see walls) work well.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

The clock and temp displays are a bit flickery. That's it, except for a bit of rear brake wear.

What's most practical about your car?

Delivering wedding cakes and being able to fold down the seats instead of requiring a masters degree in chair removal (see Peugeot 807). This coupled with a smooth ride means that the customers aren't getting a big splodge of buttercream on their wedding day.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Auto-dip side mirrors when reverse is selected. Genius.
