Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate (2010 - 2016) E220 BlueTEC SE Premium 5d Tip Auto Owner Review

Comfortable, quiet smooth ride with good economy and very acceptable performance. All controls work very well with first class audio & navigation system. Diesel engine and auto transmission refined with little apparent noise at any speed. Fully adjustable electric seats very convenient with good posture support. Really like electric panoramic tilt and slide sun roof as air and light enhances summer travel Spacious interior and load compartment with ample stowage compartments & pockets. Folding rear seats with detachable blind/guard assembly and luggage rail work very well for transporting large items. Integral roof rails can be useful Generally very reliable and dependable. Rear (SAM) signal module and NOX sensors failed after 3.5 years (latter replaced as 'good will' by manufacturer). Excellent value as purchased when 2 years old in mint condition with 12K recorded miles for £23K as rather expensive at £40K+ when new. Would replace with similar vehicle when mileage approaches 100K. For peace of mind private owners like myself could consider taking out MB Extended Warranty yearly as, perhaps rare, major failures can be very expensive.
