Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate (2016 - 2023) E220d AMG Line 9G-Tronic 5d Owner Review

I have had the car for nearly 4 months now and its by far the best car I have ever owned in terms of comfort and ride quality. I was a little worried that a lot of the “expert” reviews stated that the ride was hard on the AMG editions but I just cant see that at all! I’m no expert but the car is just comfort personified. Everything in the car is where you need it to be and its not taxing to drive at all. The controls on the steering wheel are a little fiddly but the touchpad in the centre console is very intuitive and the voice commands respond very well. On longer journeys my fuel economy has even been combing back at nearly 60mpg, I’m not caning the car but on dual carriageways and motorways then I am steady at the speed limit, or just over. There are just a couple of minor irritations such as the apple car play and android auto functions where the usb c input is in the centre console and the cup holder gets in the way of where you can put the wire. If you have a coffee in the console then you can also tend to touch the touchpad when taking the cup, which then changes the media display, however these are small gripes and just take some getting used to. I have only had passengers in the car a couple of times but they have been very complimentary on the room afforded. The LED lights are a great feature and just add another touch of elegance to the car. The boot space is massive and the storage area under the boot is also a great feature. All in all I am stoked with the car and I did at least 6 months research between the Skoda Superb, the A6 and the Jag XF. I firmly believe I made the right choice with this car and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone else.
