-
Economy
Value
Not cheap to buy, but depreciates slowly.
Costs
Servicing expensive. Easy to achieve 40+ mpg.
-
On the road
Driving
Fine, even if it lacks a little excitement.
Performance
Adequate with reasonable mid-range punch. Certainly not the quickest away from a standing start.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Surprisingly failed to live up to image with a sticking (in park) auto that left me stranded. Some of the trim is not fitted as well as I expected, however, many still comment on the solid feel of the car.
Image
After 3 years and even with the new E Class now on the roads, it feels and looks special. The 3-pointed star on the bonnet stands the test of time.
Comfort
Good, supportive seats and plenty of room.

Security and Service
Security
No problems so far, except for the 3 pointed star that idiots like to pull off. Over 3 years and I am on my 4th star.
Service
Service quality a bit patchy at first, but has since improved. Car always comes back cleaned inside and out.
