Economy
Value
Expensive but nothing else comes close.
Costs
Quite thirsty at the pumps (16-21 mpg round town, 30 on the motorway).
-
On the road
Driving
Lively. Handles well if pushed but would rather cruise. Silky engine, silent and smooth ride. Comparable to a Rolls!
Performance
Engine only gets going above 3000 rpm, then it's rapid.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Not had it long enough to comment but judging by the new models, probably the last of the bullet-proof Mercs.
Comfort
Firm supportive seats. Quiet and smooth, with bags of space.
-
Security and Service
Security
Cat 1 alarm and coded stereo. No deadlocks. I suspect not too hard to break into though almost impossible to steal.
Service
PDI missed a couple of things but these were quickly fixed. My second Merc and dealer service is always excellent. Warranty claims always done without question.
