I’m 22, odd choice of car I know to go for but never the less I bought one! I’ve read horror stories about these which I was aware of when buying (I haven’t had great luck buying cars) I paid a little under £3,900 for mine 78k miles on with 1 owner from new. Had Mercedes Service history from new up until 2013, after that there was a bit of a gap. When I bought it the guy had given it a service. So again I was taking a gamble with it not having a full service history.
Almost 6 months later, I’ve absolutly loved the car, drives fabulously! Gearbox is very smooth and has a very good power delivery from it 2.7ltr 5cylinder engine! I personally would avoid town driving as it will only get about 27mpg maybe 29! But that isn’t what the cars made for get it on the open road and it’s fantastic to drive! Not quite as sporty as a bmw I would say but it’s really not bad for an old barge! Just another quick point tip tropic isn’t great takes just a little too long to shift! Running costs are good too!
How reliable do you find the car?
In the first 6 months no major issues, i did have to replace the upper ball joints. Not expensive nor hard to do you’re self!Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Fantastic car! So so sooo quiet on long journeys and comfortable and can achieve over 50mpg on a good run! Just no cup holders in the front which can be frustrating!About their car
