I did as it was in pristine condition, had low mileage for the year and the owner was leaving the country and wanted a quick sale.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I am a self-employed chauffeur and I have used Mercedes E Classes for the job as they have tended to be reliable and have the image.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The main issue is the SBC pump (electronic braking system) which was supplied by Bosch and has subsequently been found to expire after a certain number of brake actions. Mercedes did a full recall in the USA but not in Europe; they initially changed the pumps free but have now decided that there are too many and have decided to introduce a number of conditions to qualify for the free replacement. You have to have a full Mercedes history, low mileage and ensure your car isn't too old. The problem was in cars built between 2002-2006.
What's most practical about your car?
Ideal for my job as it has plenty of space in the rear and loads of boot space.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Clients like the ambient lighting. I like the parking sensors.
