What does this car say about you?

At nearly 10 yrs old it's still a classy looking design - it says I like a bit of prestigious and reliable motoring, and I'm middle aged! I guess the walnut trim etc won't appeal to younger drivers!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My Dad thinks I waft around in it waving at the plebs like royalty. (He's an old socialist type!) But it's not that for me - it's just a classy well built, reliable, roomy vehicle that's a joy to drive.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, I look forward to driving it. It's been a great choice for me so far.

What are you likely to buy next?

I'll go for a newer model C or E class and possibly an estate version for versatility.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Perhaps a bit pricey for the year but only 64000 miles and A1 condition.

What was the dealer like?

Friendly, no pressure.

What's it like to drive?

Smooth and responsive, quiet. I can get around 37mpg on a run without trying. Around town it's more like low 20's but I don't do much mileage these days so I can live with that. Annual servicing has ranged from £179 to £250 so far.

What's it like to park?

Easy. Front and rear sensors help.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing. Early versions of this model said to be plagued by electrical problems but no problems at all with mine. Great to drive, bags of torque, comfortable and roomy. Loads of luggage space too but boot in saloon is a bit shallow for bulky items.

What's most practical about your car?

Size, comfort and reliability.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Cruise control. Folding wing mirrors for parking. Parking sensors front and back.
