Summary
What does this car say about you?
Even after 2 years, I look forward to every journey with a contentment not experienced in any other car after 30+ years of motoring. I feel proud to own and drive behind the 3 pointed star and yes, perhaps a little pleased i have managed to acheive this level of success!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Family like it very much, enjoy trips when we can. Neighbours surprised at the car after many years of my owning several BMW's. Colleagues & friends too surprised at my choice, but after nearly 2 years, realise and often comment on just how good a car it seems to be.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, no hesitation. The realiability, real feeling of long-term quality and solid build. I could not imagine ever being disappointed if needing to drive somewhere in this car.
What are you likely to buy next?
If the opportunity permits, I would choose another, though why change it, it should go on for 100,000's miles and I'd like to test the 30 year 'mobilolife' scheme !

Always wanted to own a Mercedes-Benz and as in 50th year what better time !

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Something I look forward every time I need to drive, regardless of situation or location. Easy to see out of, and very easy to place on corners and bends. An absolute dream on fast main roads and motorways. So much quick effortless power at normal speeds to overtake safely matched with equally smooth gear-changes, even if using paddle choices. Brakes and handling spot on for my driving needs.
What's it like to park?
Used in all kinds of parking situations, and it is very easy to park neatly. Parktronic is a great ally for tighter spaces, and the excellent mirrors make it easy to track all the wheels to ensure you don't kerb them.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong in over 25,000 miles of daily use in nearly 2 years.
What's most practical about your car?
The range on a tankful of 80 litres of diesel - helped by the 7 Speed transmission, at around 40 mpg, can top 600 miles on tank!
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Choice between COMAND multiple interface for Sat/Nav, phone, audio/video, mapping systems or simple combined Speedtronic/Cruise systems.
