Mercedes-Benz E-Class Saloon (2016 - 2023) E220d SE 4d 9G-Tronic Owner Review

In their own words
This is the first Mercedes I have owned but have driven several models. This car glides along the road and eats miles effortlessly whilst returning an average of 53mpg and 700 miles per tank. The 12” infotainment screen has a great definition to it and the reversing camera with its wide angle function is crystal clear. It seats 4 in comfort and the dual zone climate control and heated seats are a great standard option. The boot is massive and easy to open and close. The 2.0L diesel engine is more than enough power and makes for easy overtakes with 0-60 in around 7.5 seconds. I have driven the E class 350 and 400 with bigger and more powerful engines but when going into a bend on B roads you can really feel the weight of the larger engine, so for me the 2.0L diesel is a great blend of power, fuel economy and ease of driving. I have driven a 4matic E class and it was fantastic and if you live in an area with lots of rain or snow it’s a worthy option. My rear wheels only ever break free on gravel, ice or on a greasy junction if I am heavy on the throttle. That being said the cars stability electronics soon kick in and prevent any accidents. The emergency breaking is fantastic and saved me from hitting a car that pulled out in front of me in slow moving traffic. As my car approaches 3 years old I now have to decide to keep this one or get a new one. Either way it will be an E class.
