Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class (2014 - 2020) GLA 220 CDI 4Matic AMG Line 5d Auto Owner Review

In their own words
Car reviews (and car reviewers I suppose) are strange things. On the basis of most popular magazine reporters' opinions, I shouldn't have gone for this car. In fact I didn't, initially at least. I went to my local Motorpoint to pick over 3 Evoques, having pretty well made up my mind, but was put off by the interiors. They felt like minis on stilts. I also looked at an X1 and X3 but felt the interiors were a bit stuck in the 90's. I couldn't find a decent Q5 and suddenly they had this in stock, with 11k on the clock, so I got it shipped up to my local branch and bought it. Apart from the bone-shuddering feedback from the 19" wheels on non-motorway road surfaces, I love it and our recent trip to southern France felt effortless and relaxing. It is very comfortable, pretty nippy, smoothly eats up the miles and has a fair smattering of style in the way it does so. It is just as capable with a full load of garden waste on a tip run. Automatic everything, with loads of kit and gimmicks means the wife isn't over-keen (yet to get behind the wheel would be more accurate) but I would encourage anyone in the market for a smaller SUV (or any other vehicle) to take a good hard look for yourselves, rather than be led-on by the motoring press.
