Pros & cons
PROS
Strong performance, comfortable, high standard of fit-and-finish, great engine sound
CONS
Punishing running costs, woeful CO2 figure, ML500 does a similar job for less
Mercedes-Benz M-Class AMG (06-10) rivals
Overview
As well as being the ultimate M-Class, the ML63 AMG is also one of the fastest and most powerful 4x4s that money can buy. The hand-built 510bhp V8 powers it to 62mph in 5.0 seconds and powers it onto 155mph.
Not all of the figures are as impressive, though. Buyers should be prepared to lose loads of the car’s value in depreciation in the first year and two-thirds by year three.
