Mercedes-Benz M-Class AMG (2012-2015) interior, tech and comfort
Although much of the dash is typical Mercedes AMG hardware, it’s definitely from the more premium end of the parts bin. There’s leather everywhere, AMG badges galore and a large colour monitor welcoming the driver when he or she slots themselves in behind the wheel and presses the starter button. The AMG steering wheel feels substantial in your hands, the controls and well laid-out and it’s generally an extremely luxurious place to be.
Visibility is excellent thanks to the high driving position and ride height.
The adjustable suspension system is what enables Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG comfort levels to be surprisingly high. In ‘Comfort’ setting the ride is fairly cossetting, absorbing bumps and holes in the road without getting too flustered. It’s still a little choppy thanks to the large wheels and fairly low profile tyres but it could be significantly worse.
Of course it does get worse when you switch to the sportier settings but that’s to be expected. In terms of seating, the ML is an extremely comfortable place to be. The electrically adjustable heated seats are supportive yet supple and feel extremely high quality.
