What does this car say about you?

A King, a presidant, a Don, a Gangster, it conveys many meanings, it shouts out. "im rich" but not in a showing off way as the old Benz is easyly overlooked by people on the roads.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My family & freinds loved it, well everyone thats male that is. Women found it a bit of a grandads car, but what do they know? This is what made the S-Class what is is today, this car was a legecy, a benchmark of its time. My neighbours wer not much happy though as it was a huge car that took too much space... ah well cant please everone.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes i certianly would. When i purchased it, i was alarmed that it was going to break down instantly, but it was sooo reliable, bulletproof, so much stlye with grace. I would efinatly buy another one, but this time... keep it!

What are you likely to buy next?

I wouldn't mind the newer W1140 shape S500 (Diana's death car shape) to you and i. It was also a huge barge, very solid, the best S-Class Benz made in my book.

Did you get a good deal and why?

I got an exceptional deal, This car cost £60,000 brand new, but i picked it up for only £900 due to depreciation. It had a Full Mercedes Benz Servise History & above all... its had a huge 5.0i V8 block

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I bought this car originally to buy & quickly sell & to make money on it, instead ended up keeping it as it was absoloutly lovely. I am a family man so love large luxury cars.

What was the dealer like?

The dealer was absolutly useless, he had no idea of what the Mercedes was nor the specification. He didn't really want to sell me the car, he was waffling on how people were turned off buy the size, age & fuel consumption. Well you dont look at cost when you buy a 500SE

What's it like to drive?

In a straight line it was manic, 0-60 in 6secs flat & max speed of 157mph. Was extremly smooth through the gearchanges, anyone would think it had no gearbox. However in the wet it was very tail happy, the W126 chassis is now old for this day and age so i did find it a little wollowy around sharp corners, especially around town. Considdering i had a BMW 735i on an early D-reg, the BMW was by far supreme in terms of handling and grip. The Big benz however made me feel like a king!

What's it like to park?

A nightmare, this was the 1st cat ever to have power steering and thank god, the steering was nice & light, but the sheer girth of this beast was huge, is it me or are parking spaces getting smaller?

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing at all, this car was superb, i only had it for nearly 3 weeks but it ran perfectly well, started up in 1 go. considdering it was a 16 year old car, it was a mint example, I was suprised that even the Electric memory heated seats worked. True German Gem!

What's most practical about your car?

This car was Automatic so was a joy to drive, the visability was excellant althogh i did have abit of difficulty in a shopping car park due to the long wheel base, i cant imagine what the "L" modals are like!

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Favourite gadget was the electric memory heated seats, within seconds my buttux was warm. the electric memory seats were diamonds.
