What does this car say about you?

I think it's quite understated (in my colour combination), but definitely classy, expensive and tasteful.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They love it, the colour combination of the special edition really stands out and it turns a lot of heads. The special order grey wheels really work well with metallic Obsidian Black! All very impressed with the features, especially the roof!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Would definitely buy another, just a shame this special edition had such a short run and was capped at 450 in the UK.

What are you likely to buy next?

Not changing for a while but would probably stick with Mercedes and go for the next SLK.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Managed to get a small disount but did get an extended warranty for extra peace of mind. The car had also just been MOT'd and serviced with a pre-delivery inspection to a very high standard.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Had been looking for an SLK for a while and my model (the 2Look edition) came on the market at a good price, feel in love straight away.

What was the dealer like?

Very professional service and knowledgeable about the product. Easy purchase with good follow up after-care a week after collecting the car.

What's it like to drive?

Great to drive, had a pre-conceived idea that it would not perform as well as my BMW. This is glued to the road and handles really nicely. The 18" sports wheels do give a slightly jittery ride over very poor surfaces but feel very safe a secure driving it. Automatic transmission is seamless; standard Mercedes!!

What's it like to park?

Very easy to park with sensors front and rear and a really handy visual display to indicate remaining distance at both ends. With the roof up is is difficult to gauge the back of the car and, roof regardless, I cannot get used to where the front of the car ends. Very light steering at slow speeds and mirrors give great visibility.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing as of yet; touch wood!

What's most practical about your car?

The roof gives great flexibility and the heated seats & airscarf are absolute must-haves! I have had heated seats before and found that it extends the roof down season, the combination on the Mercedes is like no other and really makes this practical all year round! Even the boot is a great size and although dramatically reduced with the roof down, there is plenty of space for at least one full size suitcase.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The roof is seamless in its operation and works must faster than my last car (BMW) The heated seats / airscarf combination are great!!
