An absolutely brilliant car as fast or as sedate as you want with all the comfort of a saloon and the convenience of a choice of hard top or the roof in the boot, The auto gearbox with choice of Eco - Sport or manual with shift paddles is brilliant as is the twin turbo diesel engine having no turbo lag, economy is far better than I expected. I moved up from an R170 SLK which I'd had for years and as you'd expect the R172 with all the bells and whistles is streets ahead, maybe a little complicated in the seemingly dozens of choices in the settings menu but you get there in the end. Would I buy another? Yes without a doubt.
