Mercedes-Benz Viano (2004 - 2014) 2.2 CDI Ambiente (Ex Long) (2010) 5d Tip Auto Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
This was bought as a car and a van, so with the back seats out, (both rows) it becomes a huge van but still with a luxurious cabin. Lots of little extras that you don’t get in a transit or T5, but the Mercedes badge means they are still holding their price well. Seems to create a good impression on most people, although people think I have become a taxi driver! I get an average of 33 mpg on most runs, mix of mway and side roads. At its best on motorways, and can be a bit harsh over potholes, and engine is a bit harsh sounding through the gears, although fairly quiet on the motorway. It is fast for a 2 tone 2.2 diesel, and will top 100mph easily, or so I reckon officer, and cruise at whatever speed you want to. Overall a comfortable, well equipped cruiser that can carry huge loads and looks posh. You may want to upgrade the standard cd radio in terms of sound quality though. I fitted a bass amp under the drivers seat that has greatly improved sound quality, as it was very tinny.
How reliable do you find the car?
To be expected on such high mileage. Some electrical gremlins.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
