MG Motor UK MG3 (2013 - 2024) 1.5 VTi-TECH 3Style Lux (Start Stop) 5d Owner Review

In their own words
You've already read the reviews elsewhere - yes it does trade off ride quality for handling but better in both departments than the micra (k12) we also have, handling is much better than the fabia I used to have.
It's a vtec engine so you need to use the revs to get ahead. The group 4 insurance / 104BHP makes this a great combination for young drivers. I'm only young at heart - and insurance doesn't cost me much, so thats not a big concern for me.
Solidly built.
I traded in my old saab 93 against it, hence the smaller boot is a bit inconvenient at times (though its no worse than most cars in its class). Interior space is great though - SWMBO says she has more room in the back of the mg3 than the saab.
Seats are very comfy. I suspected this would be a cheap and nasty car and steered well clear of the mg showroom when I started looking for a new car. But having looked at a lot of cars, I realised that one of the important features I wanted was comfy seats. Reading in the driver power survey that the mg3 scored very highly I went to try for myself. I'm over 6ft and SWMBO is 4' 10" (she gets to drive sometimes) and we both find a comfortable driving position.
Having been impresed by the price, build quality, performance, handling and comfort, I then found out I could get one with leather (ok, vinyl, just like mercedes) seats, it was a done deal.
Some of the reviews here are saying people are paying close to list price! I got mine for £2000 off. Post-brexit the deals might not be so good but you should still get a good discount.
