Summary
What does this car say about you?
The car says that I like a bit of style, something that isn't a VW Up! or one of the other so-called superminis.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
So far, the feedback from both family and friends has been very positive.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes I would buy another because it is fun to drive and the handling makes you smile even in rush hour traffic.
What are you likely to buy next?
MG should bring out another model sometime in the future if this car is successful, and I see no reason to believe it wont be, with a better engine, that is more powerful. therefore, I see no reason not to replace this one with another MG3.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£10,499
When did you buy the car?
September 2014
Did you get a good deal and why?
I got excellent value. Why? Because for a totsl of £10,499 I got all leather interior, cruise control, air conditioning, reversing sensors, heated mirrors, blue tooth and an excellent radio with DAB, USB and CD player. Plus hydraulic power steering which I prefer over electric, ABS, TPMS and a computer with all the goodies including outside air temperature. What more do you want...?
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Ok, the engine has a write up as not being that pokey, but the level of trim and the roadholding aspects of this little car outweight that shortfall. On Britain's congested roads the precise handling and sheer nippy-ness make driving in traffic that much easier. The aircon is good, the cruise control very good, the radio excellent and with the leather seats as a £499 option it is very comfortable to drive. All in all, I'm pleased with my purchase, and at the present price of below ten grand it is eyebrow raisingly good value when all the on-board toys are considered.
What was the dealer like?
The dealer was friendly and honest. I say honest because I knew more about the spec of the car than he did, and I would have known if he was trying to pull the wool over my eyes.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
This car is precise and nippy. It is easy to handle and corners as if it is on rails. The excellent Goodyear tyres, that are a standard fit when delivered, are great in the wet giving a lot of reasurance as to their performance.
What's it like to park?
It is easier to park that the experts would have you believe in their write-ups. When reverse gear is selected there is a short beep to indicate that the so-called reversing sensors are operating and they work just as the book says, not that you should need then in this little car as it is so easy to park. The steering is not heavy under these slow speed conditions.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
So far, nothing has gone wrong with this car, and I don't expect it too, either. It is well built the feel of the car gives the impression that someone actually cares.
What's most practical about your car?
For the size of the car it is spacious inside with excellent excellent headroom and legroom. The boot is bigger than you'd think from the outside.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
I don't have a particular favourite gadget as I use all the gadgets and accessories, but if they all work as I expect them too then they are all my favourites.
