MG F (1995 - 2002) 1.8i 2d Owner Review

In their own words
I bought this car in 2008 as a fun summer car. In 2018 I took it off the road and stored it on a driveway for 5 years. Last year I decided to put it on the road and changed the tyres, brake discs/pads and pumped the suspension up and it passed the MOT first time. For the money there's no cheaper way of getting a fun convertible. Make sure it has had the Head Gasket replaced and upgraded and there's not rust or rot around the sills/arches or suspension, and the MGF will see you good for many a happy day in the sunshine. Maintaining is pretty easy, and parts are plentiful and not too expensive. Mine has had a new hood (with glass), which I fitted myself one Saturday, and You Tube has loads of content on how to do things that will keep you on the road. Tyres are important so make sure you go for something half decent. I have Toyo's and they are great for grip. Finally if buying, make sure you get both keys as the separate key fob is a pain to replace if you don't
