MG GS SUV (2016 - 2019) Exclusive 1.5 TGI 5d Owner Review

In their own words
When the car is running as it should it is a fine car to drive. However with the numerous electrical problems and its first MOT failure on the anniversary of 3 year of ownership it would not be wise to recomend this dangerous car. Problems include and some are ongoing, the rear tailgate key release continues to fail, Dasboard fault lights warn of failure when there is nothing wrong, headlamp washer cover falls off, heavy corrosion on rear brake backplates and rear passenger one has rotted and fallen off.Having owned many new cars over the years I have never before had a new car fail its first MOT on such serious and dangerous brake failure and false dashboard warnings. The car was serviced by the main dealers who were good with customer care but they did tell me on my last MOT (5 years) recently that something has to be compromised with "budget" cars that in my case was poor or lack of underseal . The brakes however are a design fault and unfortunate! 26000 miles has seen rotten pitted rear brake discs two sets of brake pads due to debri getting between pads and discs, rear camera audible sound failure as well as camera failure twice, rear key tailgate opener failure, windscreen washer failure, front fender trim falling off after being replaced due to fault, the MG logo`s on the wheels look tatty due to corrosion. Conclusion..... a car that has fairly low mileage and is kept mostly in a garage, fully serviced by main dealer and is the top of the range, I feel qualified in stating you only get what the money will cover !! Certainly not a bargain
